Shrewsbury MA real estate – Neighborhood Section
The history of High Meadow Estates is one that I’m pretty family with, as it was a neighborhood that I initial took part in developing. In fact, I even named the street Jamie Lane, after my wife (at the time). The site used to consist of a small old farm house, and when the owner passed away, her family sold off the land to a gentlemen I knew here in town. I bought it from him, and began working with the town on what would be a cup-de-sac of 12-14 large, single family homes, with amazing views. At the outset, I had two street front lots, which were able to be separated from the lengthly development process, and I hired Ron Peris to build a couple of custom homes for some clients that I had.
As the final approvals neared for the main development, I brought in Jack Thomas, from Winsor Development, to buy up my interest in the project and handle all of the construction, so I could make my profit and focus on the real estate selling, which is what my main focus was always planned to be.
We wanted to get away from the cookie-cutter developments, so all of the homes were unique, and ranged in size from 3200-5000 square feet.
